Witnessing and supporting the Keble Road area and streets surrounding Cooper School
Planning a mini-Fun Day with the Bicester Community Church in this Olympic year.
Joining with the other churches to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee out in Market Square!
Working and praying with the Churches in Bicester to initiate Street Pastors, a permanent and neutral town centre presence, events for the elderly and much more.
Additionally
The Church supports various groups around the world and locally. The two main people we support are Sean Mullens, Zimbabwe and Pastor Prince, Goa who run churches and other organisations. Steve will be visiting Goa this month (Feb.2012).
Our minister, Steve Barber has recently been away to China, continuing with work and contacts he has made over there during his previous ministry. Read these newsletters for his itinerary and report of what happened (January 2011). Then in November his prayer diary was this. This year (2012) it is hoped to take a group from OBF over with him. We fund-raise as needs arise and also offer practical help to members and friends in need. OBF also works closely with the other churches in town who put on special, and regular, events such as:
- the Passion Play and March of Witness at Easter
- Christmas lights switch-on: stage events & stall
- Pentecost in the Park
- Family Fun Festival in the summer
- Stalls at the town carnival
- Carol singing round the estates
- Week long Holiday Bible Club in the summer
- Bicester Food Bank (Tues & Fri lunch times at the Methodist Church)
- Grapevine Toddler Group (Weds mornings at the Methodist Church)
- Healing on the Streets (Sat mornings in Sheep Street)
- Youth Mission
