Sunday Mornings
As you step through the door there is a warm welc
ome in the foyer and a weekly news bulletin given out. Christian books, tapes and CDs are available for free hire. There is a display board showing who's who. There is time for corporate prayer in the drama studio before the service begins, also at the end, members of the church are available to pray in private with individuals.
Children are catered for in the first 20 minutes of the service, with lively songs and a special talk just for them. On special days the whole service is designated to families. Otherwise the children go out to their teaching groups relevant to their age, from babies to age 14.
Communion is take
n twice a month, once for all the family (children receive a blessing, or if the elders have visted them and are convinced of their faith, they can partake), and once with just the adults, after the children have left. An offering is taken, with no pressure to contribute, though many people choose to give by standing order. The Bible version generally used is the CEV or NIV.
At the end of the service people are welcome to meet with each other for refreshments, prayer, and the answers to any questions.
